What’s Your “Why?”

Why Do I Do What I Do?

The easy answer is that I’ve always wanted to be a photographer and that there are few things I can think of that would fulfill me as much as being a photographer does. The deeper answer, and how I came to specifically land on Personal Branding Photography as a niche is that I want to work with badass women (and men) in the pursuit of their passions.

I want to share my own business journey with like-minded people who “get it” and who share my values of grit, determination, and aspiration to be a part of something bigger than myself. Especially, the ones for whom success is not measured in dollar signs, but in the ability to make the lives of the people they touch better in some real way.

Why Do I Love And Believe In What I Do?

There is something really special about seeing someone you’ve worked with and gotten to know, succeed in their business. Whether those are small wins, like finally having a consistent content gallery, or big wins, like landing more of their ideal clients.

Not only do I feel a deep sense of gratitude to be trusted to impact those goals in a positive way, but I also feel a deep sense of accomplishment knowing that I was part of their success. My client’s success is my success.

That’s why I am so passionate about Personal Branding Photography as a marketing tool. I know the impact it can have on a small business. It elevates a brand and gives you as a content creator more assets to work with as you create posts, videos, websites, and more.

What Led Me To This Love And Belief?

If you had asked me when I became a photographer if I would ever run my own business I might have laughed, never truly believing I might possess what it took to be a business owner, but when I think back on my life I realize I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit.

When I was young I would spend weekends with my grandmother Olivia thrift shopping for items to sell in her own little store at the local flea market. And in the 5th grade when the lady who sold candy in our apartment complex moved away I begged my mom to take me to the store to buy candy to sell in her place. That didn’t last long bc I ate all the merchandise, but it was the start of what would become a trend in my life.

When I began to build my photography business over 7 years ago I was surprised at how effortless it felt and how much I adored the brand development process. Since then I have created numerous brands, and several businesses, and worked with hundreds of small businesses, helping them do the same.

This work fulfills me in so many ways. As a photographer, as a small businesswoman, as a Latina who is able to give back to her community, and as an entrepreneur who is able to impact the larger business community I’m a part of.

This is why I know there is almost nothing I could do in life that would make me as happy as what I’m doing now.
